What is the Glympse app and what does it do?

Glympse is the leading location-sharing app that allows you to share your real-time location with people (or request their location) temporarily, regardless of their mobile device. Millions of people globally use Glympse for this reason: quick, temporary, and customized location-sharing. It visually answers “Where are you?” with a dynamic map that updates your location in real-time. Glympse is free to use and available on iPhone and Android.

With Glympse, you control who you share your location with, as well as for how long (up to 12 hours), so there is no risk of being permanently tracked. Location-sharing automatically expires once you arrive, and you can turn off location-sharing with others at any time. After you arrive at a destination and your “Glympse” has expired, all data is permanently deleted 48 hours later. Even better, we do not harvest or sell your location data. Visit our Privacy Policy here to learn more.

Looking to delete your location share with Glympse immediately? You can delete the Glympse in the “History” screen on the app. Once deleted, a Glympse will immediately be non-visible to anyone.

Fun Fact: Glympse shows up in the language your browser is set to.
