How does the Glympse app work?

Glympse uses your mobile phone’s GPS capability to let you share or request your location via a web-based map. Sharing your location with someone is called “Sending a Glympse.” A Glympse can be sent as a text message or an email, as well as through social media and Whatsapp.

When the person(s) you send or request location with clicks on the Glympse link they receive from you, they can view your location in real time and see your real-time ETA on a web-based map for as long as you share your location. It’s that simple.

How to Share Your Location (“Send a Glympse”)

  1. While you are in the Glympse app, push the “G” at the bottom of the app
  2. Push “Share Location” to share your location with someone
  3. Push “Request Location” to request the location of someone
  4. Type in the name of the person(s) you want to either send you location or request their location in the top box
  5. Set the timer for how long you want to share your location
  6. Hit “Send”

Note: You can add a message and/or save the recipient as a Favorite.
